Art

Strolls

Corso Cavour

Spirituality

Sassovivo Abbey

A Romanesque gem surrounded by greenery, a few kilometres from the centre.

A unique event

The Quintana joust

Twice a year Foligno returns to the 17th century: the Giostra della Quintana is a Baroque re-enactment with ladies, knights and a horseback challenge between the city's ten districts (Rioni).

The "della Sfida" edition is run in June, the "della Rivincita" in September. During the Quintana the district taverns open: themed dinners, costumes and an atmosphere of times gone by. It is the busiest period of the year — it's best to book well in advance.
